Can my child attend if they are not a homeschooled child?

The Happy Place Learning Cafe is primarily designed as a homeschool-friendly learning community, but we welcome all children to explore our offerings. While our programs are tailored to complement home education, we encourage interested families to reach out to discuss how our classes might benefit their child. Please contact us for more information.

Do i have to stay for my homeschooled child to participate?

No, parents are not required to stay during their child's participation in classes or workshops. Our experienced educators provide a safe and supervised environment. However, we always welcome parental involvement.  We have special activities and field trips we would love parent support with during each session.

What are the ages of participants?

The Happy Place Learning Cafe offers programs for children from birth through age 15, with specific classes and activities designed for various age groups within this range. Please refer to our Classes & Programs page for detailed age recommendations for each offering.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, there is typically a registration fee for our programs. This fee helps cover administrative costs and secures your child's spot. Details regarding specific fees can be found on our Enrollment & Pricing page.

Does my child have to participate for the full session?

Our programs are structured to offer flexible and meaningful educational experiences. While full session participation is generally encouraged for the best learning outcomes, we understand individual needs may vary. Please discuss any specific attendance requirements or concerns with us during the registration process.

How do you ensure an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners, including neurodivergent children?

At The Happy Place Learning Cafe, we are dedicated to supporting every child's unique learning journey. For all new families, we conduct a welcome meeting to discuss your child's needs and learning style. This allows us to ensure our programs are a good fit and that we can provide the best possible support. We embrace a strength-based, inclusive approach and are committed to creating a safe and thriving space for all. If, after our meeting, we determine that we are not the ideal fit, we will promptly refund any registration fees.
