The Happy Place Learning Cafe offers a wide array of programs designed to spark curiosity and support holistic development for children aged birth through 15. We embrace diverse learning styles and foster a vibrant learning community; helping children make friends and explore creative pursuits.
Homeschool Co-Op Studio
Online or In-person
Our Homeschool Studio is designed for children ages 6-15. Students are divided into two age-based groups for more focused learning opportunities. Our Homeschool Studio is open Monday + Wednesday from 9 am-3 pm. We have field trips every other Friday from 10 am-2 pm. Intramural sports are every other Friday from 10 am-2pm.
Families have the option to participate in Homeschool Co-op Studio for 2 OR 3 days a week.

Structured Learning Pathways
Explorers
The Explorers (6-9) spend time learning through hands-on activities. We spend the first part of our day in
Calming Circle where we gather, center ourselves, and prepare our minds, bodies, and spirits for our homeschool studio adventures. We may learn about and engage in prayer, breath work, meditation styles, balance work, stretching, and positive affirmations.
Next, we have some focused learning time spent on the three R's. Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic for the Explorers.
Storytime is our opportunity to read literature from various authors. We will have a chance to practice our listening skills, alphabet, phonics, and grammar.
Writing Workshop will focus on the books we read in co-op. Children will spend time building and copying vocabulary words and sentences from that days literature selection.
Individual Exploration is the students time to engage in student lead activities. Reading, board games, memory cards, and other games. Students can bring in fun quiet activities from home. No electronics are permitted during co-op. Children have the option of going out to play.
Book Club is a group learning opportunity.. We will select a book of the week to read together and discuss. Our Art Studio projects may come directly from BookClub selections.
Our Explorers will enjoy hands on Science Lab projects weekly. Fun indoor and outdoor activities included.
We end each day with our Enlightenment Circle with a brief teaching on a topic connected to the mind, body and/or spirit.

Navigators
The Navigators (10-15) spend time learning through hands-on activities. We spend time in Art Studio, Writier's Workshop, Book Club, and Science Lab.
Art Studio allows each student to create masterpieces using various mediums from watercolors to paper mache. Students will enjoy art each week in studio!
Writer's Workshop gives students a chance to flex their creative writing skills. Children will explore various styles of writing from haikus to comic strips!
Book Club is a wonderful opportunity to read classic literature and discuss their perspectives on each title.
In Science Lab we delve into hands-on exploration of several types of science principles. Come ready to discover from day one!
Our typical day includes Nervous System Regulation. Children learn easier and have more fun when they feel safe and grounded.
Calming Circle is where we gather, center ourselves, and prepare our minds, bodies, and spirits for our homeschool studio adventures. We may learn about and engage in prayer, breath work, meditation styles, balance work, stretching, and positive affirmations.
Children are given time each studio day to engage in Individual Exploration. Students may use studio resources or bring items from home to work on during individual exploration. For example: needle point projects, handcrafts, reading books, board games, and the like.
Gaming devices and cell phone use is not permitted. Students may use cell phones to contact parents only during studio. Studio time is for studio friends.
We end our day with Enlightenment Circle; a short teaching on a concept of the day. Teachings include areas that link our minds, bodies, and spirits. Teachings may include: Christ Consciousness; Quantum Physics and Mechanics; Healing Properties of Movement, Sound, Frequency, Minerals, Water, and Food; Mindfulness Principles, Grounding Techniques, Meditation Practices.

Online students Log into our Online Classroom at 9 am to begin the day with us from their homes. Students will engage with us as we stream the In-person Studio activities. Students take breaks when we break and eat lunch when we eat. Streaming will continue until 3 pm. Online students have the option of leaving the online classroom and returning at their convenience. We do encourage all students to be present for 9 am-11 am and 1 pm-3 pm.
Babies and Toddlers
Mommy and me Pure Hearts 💕 Program
Our Pilot program launches April 2026. We are bringing structured, guided learning and bonding time to our youngest learners birth-2 years old. This program is offered weekly on Saturdays for moms and babies. Small class sizes of 5 moms and their little ones.

Preschoolers
STEAM Preschool Academy
Eager to learn 2 year olds-5 year olds have the wonderful opportunity to join our private 2 day a week preschool learning community. Preschool learners will dive into creative pursuits centered around: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
Science learning all about themselves and the world around them. Investigating nature, growing plants, learning food types and how the body works.
Technology has a place even in preschool. Learning how to use tools and systems to accomplish goals making life easier in our modern world.
Engineering takes building and development to new heights while expanding young learners levels of creativity.
Art is the expression of ones unique voice limited only by one's imagination. We're exploring various mediums of artistic expression.
Math is an essential and fun building block of all education. Preschoolers will get to measure, count, jump, create patterns, hear rhythm in sounds, and feel the vibrations of life.

Small class sizes of up to 5 students. A private preschool learning experience providing more individualized attention, focused instruction, and encouragement.
Kindergarten
The Learning Tree Academy 🌳
Children 5-6 years old are welcome to thrive and grow in our private Kindergarten Drop-Off program. The Learning Tree Academy is for homeschooled children. We offer assistance with the completion of the required yearly letter of intent for children 6 years of age.
Our program focuses on a beautiful combination of Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic and Project-Based Learning in a book rich environment.
Books open the doors to the world of imagination and the complexities of the real world in a way no other medium can.
Literature will be the foundation of our learning experiences in Science, Art, Math, and Social Studies.
Individual and group projects will round out the Kindergarten learning experience in our Academy.
Most assignments and projects will be completed during the class time. However, there may be instances when time at home will need to be alloted for assignments and projects.
Because we are a homeschool learning community, parents play an integral role in The Learning Tree Academy. We have opportunities for parents to Volunteer in the cassroom. Benefit from individualized Learning Coaching and Private Tutoring, tailored to meet unique learning needs and foster confidence and academic development.
Bliss + Bloom Learning Coach
Children 3-17 years of age have the opportunity to work with a Learning Coach to enhance their academic skills. Coaching includes an assessment of learning strengths, styles, habits, and growth areas. These private coaching sessions are suitable for all learning styles. Coaching focuses on the environment and mechanics of learning not the subject matter itself. For example:
- Creating an environment for optimal learning for a specific learner
- study skills
- test taking skills
- structure
- organizational skills
- daily habits

Homeschool Educators Private Tutoring
Homeschool Educators.are available to tutor children ages 3-17 years of age. Tutoring subjects include:

- Beginner ASL

Tutoring can take place In-Home or In-Office. All services in the home require a Home Assessment ($80 hr). In-Home services available for local residents only.
